A Creative Reflection for Solopreneurs
As business owners, we’re constantly looking for clarity, momentum, and fresh ways to solve challenges. Sometimes, the best inspiration doesn’t come from a spreadsheet, strategy book or business guru—but from unexpected places.
Recently, I pulled three image-rich cards from a creative deck I sometimes use for reflection. While they come from the world of tarot, you don’t need to know anything about tarot to use them. Think of them as visual prompts—metaphors that spark new ways of thinking.
You could just as easily pick images from a deck of random images like the coaching cards from Barefoot Coaching. and I have used those too.

This image reminded me that running a business can be easier, more fun and accelerate progress when you’re doing it with others. It doesn’t have to be solitary and lonely.

It’s easy to move from one task to the next without acknowledging how far we’ve come. But recognition of your progress provides momentum. It’s fuel. It builds confidence. Our successes remind us that what we’re doing matters.
When was the last time you paused to notice how far you’ve come?
Who do you have to witness and reflect your growth back to you?
Sometimes, by being slightly outside, others see our momentum more clearly than we do. This is one of the ways that groups like masterminds shine.

This reminded me about how valuable it is to share experiences in business. Sharing successes AND lessons learned. In the right space, generosity isn’t draining, it’s energising. Support flows both ways.
